Sweetwater Campground, Lake Allatoona, GA

We spent nearly two weeks at the nearly empty, slightly flooded, totally enjoyable Sweetwater Campground on Lake Allatoona, GA. From homebase here, we ranged out to the Etowah Indian Mounds, New Echota Cherokee Capital, Resaca Battlefield and the Georgia Aquarium. As the Memorial Day weekend approached, the campground filled and we moved on to an Escapees campground north of Knoxville, TN.
