Mt Rushmore

John's third trip to Mt Rushmore and my first, yesterday, was inspiring. We took the winding, narrow, pigtail bridged, single lane low tunnel route, with views of rock outcroppings and long distance shots of Mt. Rushmore. The narrated tours vary tremendously from ranger to ranger, as I discovered by evesdropping on a second one. Citi provided the funds for a museum building housing photographs, videos, movies, and a third bookstore/souvenir shop. John tackled the hundreds of steps to the artist's studio to hear about and see the model. Along the way, he photographed the white mountain goat.
