We have our mail forwarded to us, at a local post office, when we stay in one place long enough for it to reach us. Thinking we would be camping near Casa Blanca, NM, we ordered our mail sent to their tiny post office. As it turned out, we opted to stay in Albuquerque, so when the mail arrived, we drove an hour to pick it up at Casa Blanca.
El Malpais National Conservation Area is about an hour farther west from Casa Blanca, so we spent the remaining daylight hours walking on the 3000 year old lava flow, seeing the natural bridge, and enjoying golden hues of the setting sun on the cliffs in the park.
