John's Birthday

Today is John's birthday. We celebrated in the beautiful warm sunny weather with a walk and picnic at Usery Mountain Regional Park. Locals tell us the desert blooms about this time of the year and should be unusually beautiful due to the rain this year, so we've been keeping tabs on it, but not much color yet.

John's sister, Ellen, hosted a fun birthday party for him last Sunday, with a meat dish their Mom used to make and his favorite cake and ice cream.
