Port Isabel, Tx

This week we drove the Prius to Port Isabel to check out camping opportunities on the south Gulf. While in the area, we enjoyed a tasty seafood buffet at Louie's Backyard in the town of South Padre.

Sunset over the beach shown beautiful pastel colors often used in Starving Artist sunsets. Sadly, crude oil is still intermingled with the sand from a past spill.

To our surprise and delight, we discovered the South Padre Convention Center sports a gorgeous Wyland marine mural.
