Portuguese Men of War

The weather has been beautiful for two days, so we've been enjoying hours on the beach, where we found Portuguese Men of War for the first time and were astounded by their dramatic coloration. We've also noticed what looked like baby jellyfish, small translucent discs.

This area is a migration route for many types of birds. Duck season is finished and hopefully the one walking in the surf isn't the last remaining live one.

We also discovered a flowering plant that we hope you can help us identify. It appears to be growing naturally in the sandy soil in the RV park.
