Busy Week

This week has been busy, fun, and a great learning experience.

We spent two memorable evenings visiting other couples in their gorgeous Class A rigs.

One of the big reasons we have stayed in this park so long, other than our love of the ocean, is because the other campers have made us feel so welcome. This week there were several get togethers, including a breakfast, a bbq wild boar roast, a February birthdays bash, and an Italian fest with games.

Thursday evening, our new friends took us to the UT Marine Sciences Center, in Port Aransas, for their weekly talk. This week, Dr. Chris Shank spoke about how global climate change effects corals in "An SOS Call From the Tropics".

Friday was another beautiful, yet windy, South Texas day, so we went in search of birds in Corpus Christi, at Oso Bay Park and the Hans A. Suter Wildlife Area, where we saw a crew of Roseate Spoonbills feeding. Several photographers, with huge zoom lenses, joined us on the boardwalk.

Windsurfers enjoyed the evening near Oleander Point at Cole Park in Corpus Christi.
