More Critter Visitors

Hickory Creek Campground is turning greener before our eyes and the several cardinals feast on the tree buds outside our windows each morning. The oak leaves are now large enough to recognize.

John is honing his campfire skills nightly for our human visitors. Last evening we roasted chocolate/vanilla marshmallows. I inadvertently left the sugary fork on the outside table overnight and one of our critter visitors shredded the plastic tablecloth enjoying every last taste.

This seemingly very tall turkey visited a few days ago before all the spring break kids arrived in the neighboring campsite. Tents are being packed up, RVs are dumping their tanks, boats are headed back to their side yard "moorings" and things are returning to pre-spring break solitude.
