Kalamazoo, MI

Always liked the name "Kalamazoo" and now we are here. I had hoped to tour the Kellogg's cereal plant, but they don't do that, so we drove the historic districts, admiring the beautiful old homes.

Today was hot and cloudless and thousands of us traveled to the beaches of Lake Michigan located beside historic lighthouses.

A wedding was about to take place by the St. Joseph Lighthouse and simultaneously a marine emergency had summoned police, coast guard and ambulances.

We bought fresh veg at a local farm's market in South Haven. There is even one called Degrandchamp Farm, which is one of John's ancestral family names.
