Grand Canyon North Rim

Opening day for the North Rim of the Grand Canyon was May 15, which was a delightful day for our visit. The weather was cool and sunny so the snow had melted from the roads but lay in some fields. We saw one small ice covered lake.

Portions of the Kaibab National Forest are recovering from a forest fire.

We enjoyed two Ranger talks: Geology and Condors, had a picnic at the Lodge and walked the short trail to Bright Angel Point.
