Zion National Park

The past two weeks have been a delightful stay in Hurricane, UT, and the Watchman Campground in Zion National Park, UT. Zion's beauty is breathtaking: the rapidly flowing Virgin River, vibrant colors of wild flowers, reds/oranges/pinks and white cliffs, cottonwood puffs, lush green leaves, and snow the day we left. We saw mule deer, lizards, wild turkeys and several types of birds. Zion's Park Rangers offer talks and walks several times each day.

Our lack of prior planning meant that we could only reserve each Watchman Campground site for one day, so moved the RV each morning. Each afternoon, we attended a Ranger talk, checked out one of the "easy" trails, then enjoyed another Ranger presentation each evening.
