Oregon to Idaho

It has been an "interesting" trip so far. We spent our first night at a great little campground in Troutdale, where I lost my wedding ring. The managers searched grass clippings, bathrooms and laundry for it after we left. No luck.

Our drive west, along the Columbia River Gorge was eye opening, since I had no idea how dry the western portion of Oregon is. The rolling hills along the river are covered in dried up vegetation. Not easy to photograph from a moving vehicle, though.

The second day our air compressor quit and the third day we had a flat before leaving the campground. Had the spare installed, fixed the flat and had it reinstalled, so got a late start.

We made it to Idaho today, where it was 97 degrees and sunny. Camped in a little park in the tiny town of Glenns Ferry tonight. Heading for Utah tomorrow.
