Columbia, CA

My laptop has died, despite my continual rebuilding, ministrations, and pleading, so I am utilizing John's old XP one, which has no port to accept photos from our camera. Additionally, Blogspot or Picasa has changed and I have yet to figure out how to add photos and slideshows to the blog. So, until I get a new laptop and figure out how to add slideshows, we won't be able to share our travels in pictures.

We spent last week in Columbia, CA, a tiny mining town in the Sierra Nevada foothills. It is also only the second location where there is absolutely no Verizon coverage.

Yosemite was within driving distance and we spent several wonderful afternoons enjoying its beauty, walking among the sequoias, and shooing squirrels and birds away from our picnics.
