Our Anniversary

July 4 was our 20th wedding anniversary and we spent the week in Dunnigan, CA, north of Sacramento. I belong to several restaurant e-clubs and received a few two-for-one offers for our celebration, so we enjoyed the unusual treat of restaurant meals in Sacramento.

Years ago we spent time exploring the historic Sacramento sights, so instead, we took advantage of the Bank of America Museums On Us weekend to visit the Crocker Art Museum and the California Museum free.

The Crocker includes a beautifully grand home donated by Margaret Crocker to display art beside a modern building currently housing a wonderful exhibit on Impressionism, that is not to be photographed.

The California Museum highlights notable state bankers, artists, technology leaders, actors, researchers and doctors. It houses the impressive 1933 Lincoln KB owned by Bank of America's founder A. P. Giannini, memorabilia from state history, and The Minerva Awards honoring remarkable women.
